Sungrazer comet pair vaporized by 'insanely strong solar radiation'
Description
A pair of sungrazer comets, which are likely fragments of each other, were vaporized by the sun by "insanely strong solar radiation," according to Naval Research Lab's Karl Battams. A massive solar coronal mass ejection can be seen in the ESA/NASA SOHO footage as well.
