Sun blasts first X-flare in nearly 4 years!
Description
A powerful X1-class solar flare erupted from an unnamed sunspot on July 3, 2021. It caused a "short-wave radio blackout over the Atlantic Ocean," according to Spaceweather.com. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory caught the blast in multiple wavelengths.
