Description

The Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter Telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory was used to capture spiral galaxy Messier 106. The galaxy is a 'popular target for amateur astronomers' according to NSF’s NOIRLab (National Optical-Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory).
