LIVE: Ariane 5 to Launch Galaxy 35 and 36 / MTG-I1 Satellites @arianespace

An Arianespace Ariane 5 ECA+ rocket will launch on a mission designated VA259, to put the Galaxy 35, Galaxy 36 communications satellites and the MTG-I 1 meteorological satellite into orbit. The Galaxy satellites, built by Maxar, will fly in a stacked fashion in the upper berth of the payload fairing, and once in orbit, will provide C-band television and video broadcast services over the United States. The first Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite, MTG-I1, will provide weather imagery over Europe for the European weather satellite agency, Eumetsat. Ariane 5 will fly in the ECA+ variant with latest performance upgrades.
