Live coverage of the launch will begin at 5 p.m. EDT on Thursday, March 17, and will feature statements from NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and other guests. NASA will execute a final pre launch test known as a wet dress rehearsal at the pad, which will entail filling the SLS propellant tanks and performing a launch countdown.

The 4-mile travel between the Vehicle Assembly Building and the launch pad is projected to take between six and twelve hours.
