Saharan dust cloud, seen from space, fertilizes Amazon soil 'regularly'

Every year wind-swept dust from the Sahara Desert in Africa travels over the Atlantic Ocean, which can be seen by satellites. The dust plume “regularly fertilizes soils” in the Amazon rainforest in South America.
