Nanojets on the Sun seen clearly for first time by spacecraft
Description
NASA’s Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) mission captured imagery of nanojets in the Sun's corona. Nanojets are "bright thin lights that travel perpendicular to the magnetic structures in the solar atmosphere," according to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
